Get a taste of college life with our two-week, residential summer program for rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors.
As a Summer Challenge student, you'll take part in lectures, discussions, individual and group work, and project-based assignments, as well as field trips. The small class sizes mean you'll get individual attention from your experienced college instructors. Choose two seminars—one based on an existing interest, and a second on a new topic so you can explore something different.
Summer Challenge students also participate in a college admissions workshop so they know what to expect and learn how to balance coursework with social life.
The Big Picture
Listen to what our students have to say about spending the summer at Boston University and experiencing the academic rigor of college and field trips into the city of Boston.
Our Summer Challenge program immerses students in a strong, supportive social community while providing a full college experience. Daily activities on the Boston University campus and throughout the city provide lots of engaging opportunities to meet other students and make friends while getting to know Boston.See a sample activities schedule »
