  2. How many courses can I take during Summer Term?

Students can take up to two courses during each six-week summer session. Students wanting to take an overload (more than two courses in a session) need permission from the director of Summer Term. If approved, the overload class must be added using a Summer Term Class Adjustment Form.

Students who are given approval to audit a course are charged the same tuition as students taking the course for credit. It is not always possible to audit a course. The College of Arts & Sciences (CAS), for example, does not permit students to audit courses in their program. Payments are due by the first day of each summer session.

After the drop deadline, there is no credit for tuition or fees. Students can withdraw from courses with a "W" grade until the deadlines noted in the calendar. Please note that lack of attendance is not equivalent to dropping or withdrawing from a course. Students who do not officially drop a course are held responsible for full tuition and fees.

Although the normal date for registration is March 4, international students can apply now for summer classes.
