The Music of the Rolling Stones

Some have called them the Greatest Rock Band in the World. Decide for yourself during this summer with an immersive, multimedia look into The Music of The Rolling Stones.

With an infinite list of hits like “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction,” “Brown Sugar,” “Gimme Shelter,” “Sympathy for the Devil,” “Emotional Rescue,” “Honky Tonk Women,” “Waiting on a Friend,” “Shattered,” and “Mixed Emotions,” the Rolling Stones have explored many musical genres—blues, punk, dance, reggae, pop, country, and more—and blended them into their unique brand of devil-may-care rock and roll. Through following the evolution of The Rolling Stones, we follow the evolution of both music and pop culture within society.

Previous training in music is not required but a love of rock music is beneficial.

The Music of the Rolling Stones is taught by Professor Victor Coelho, and takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m.–2:30 p.m., May 21–June 27. View the full course description here.
