BU in Brussels

Are you interested in learning about contemporary European politics? This summer, you can travel to Brussels—the very heart of the European Union—and immerse yourself in an intensive, three-week course, offered at Boston University's Brussels campus and taught by the former German Ambassador to Belgium, Reinhard Bettzuege.

Get an inside look at how Europe is operating in the 21st century. Explore the many connections between Europe and the United States. Take part in classroom discussions held at NATO headquarters, the European Council, and the European Parliament. Visit the U.S. Embassy at the European Commission, and gain insight into the latest political agendas.

Don’t miss this rare opportunity to see multinational leadership in action.

Topics explored include:

  • Transatlantic cooperation
  • Euro-debt crisis
  • Climate policies
  • The Arabellion
  • Relations with Russia and China

European Politics (CAS PO 361; 4 cr) is open to all BU students, visiting students, and international students from Europe and elsewhere.
