MBTA Shuttle & Subway
Boston has a comprehensive public transportation system known as the MBTA or the "T,” with bus lines, trolleys, and subway trains running throughout the city. There are several ways to get from the airport to campus, and you can use the MBTA’s Trip Planner or Google Maps transit directions to research the options.
One option to campus via the "T" is to purchase a Charlie Card or Charlie Ticket, then take the Silver Line – SL1 bus from your terminal to South Station. Upon arriving at South Station, you should transfer to the Red Line inbound towards Alewife and take it to the Park Street Station stop. From the Park Street Station, take the Green Line – Train B towards Boston College.
A second option to campus via the "T" is to take a free Logan Airport Shuttle Bus to the Blue Line station near the airport. You can then purchase a Charlie Card or Charlie Ticket. Take the Blue Line inbound train to the Government Center stop and transfer to a Green Line inbound "B", Boston College train.
Boston University’s Charles River Campus is large, so your final destination will determine at which stop you exit the train. The main BU stops are BU East, BU Central, and BU West. The Summer Term office at 755 Commonwealth Avenue is closest to the BU Central stop. You can see all of the Green Line B stops on the MBTA website or use Google Maps transit directions to find the stop closest to your final destination.
