Apartment
Unit Description
Four-person apartment unit:
4 single bedrooms, 2 bathrooms,
kitchen, living/dining area
Two-person apartment unit:
2 single bedrooms, 1 bathroom,
kitchen, living/dining area
All bedrooms are approximately
100 square feet including the closet.
All bedrooms have an ethernet connection
to the campus network and a private telephone line.
Kitchens include full-size refrigerator,
stove/oven, microwave oven and garbage disposal.
Central air-conditioning system.
Wheelchair
Accessibility The
Student Residence is completely wheelchair accessible. There are
13 apartment units specifically designed for student wheelchair
users.
Furniture
Bedroom furniture includes a bed
with mattress, dresser, 60 wide desk, desk chair and 2-drawer
mobile file cabinet.
Living/dining
room furniture includes comfortable sofa, lounge chairs, coffee
table, end table, television stand, lamps, round kitchen table and
upholstered dining chairs.
Common
Areas
The 18th
floor is a multipurpose room for functions and meetings.
Ground floor level includes residence
staff offices, mail room, laundry room, Social room, RESNET computer
lab, multipurpose room, group study rooms, music practice rooms,
student government office, vending machines, bike storage area and
public rest rooms.
First floor has the entrance lobby,
security desk and the Buick Street Market & Café.
Buick
Street Market & Café The
Buick Street Market & Café is part café and part convenience
store. It is a unique market concept serving the needs of the Student
Village community.
The Buick Street Market & Café
offers a full menu of freshly baked bagels, breads, muffins, and
rolls. Soups, salads and sandwiches prepared daily are available
to eat in a 150-seat dining area or to take out. Gourmet coffees
including espresso and cappuccino plus fine teas are served at the
beverage bar. Home replacement meals are available
for purchase for those times when you dont want to cook but
dont want to eat out.
The Buick Street Market & Café
will also stock items needed for everyday apartment living.
Hours of operation are scheduled
to be 7 a.m. until midnight daily.
Room
Selection The
Student Residence at 10 Buick Street is open to students who have
achieved senior or junior status.
Security
There is a security desk at the
entrance to the building. All University policies and procedures
regarding residence access will be in effect. Residents will use
their Terrier Card for building access and a key for their apartment
and bedroom. There are locks on each bedroom door.

Intersession, and Spring recess. |
