Transportation & Parking

Transportation options abound at Boston University. Public transportation runs regularly through the middle of campus. Shuttle buses also run on a fixed schedule, and BU has installed a large number of bicycle racks all over campus.

Parking Services
Parking Services, located on the second floor of the George Sherman Union, manages the distribution of parking permits, the operation of the parking locations across the Charles River Campus, and arranges for guest and special events parking needs.

MBTA Semester Pass
The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority operates the bus, trolley/subway, and commuter rail system in the greater Boston area. Outbound service on campus is free. BU students can purchase Semester Passes on-line through the University’s Student Link.

The BUS
Free shuttle bus service is provided weekdays and evenings between the Medical Campus and the Charles River Campus
