Community Advisor – The Community Advisor (CA) primarily interacts with the siblings of incoming students during the University Orientation Siblings Program each session. In addition to this, CAs host incoming students’ parents, family, and friends on evening City Trips, as well as serve as a facilitator to the incoming students during the Common Ground program each session.
Program Advisor – The Program Advisor (PA) works closely with incoming students, their families, and with the Academic Advising offices of the Schools and Colleges at Boston University. PAs are responsible for coordinating and implementing all events during University Orientation. Additional responsibilities include answering questions of parents, family members, students, and other Boston University employees, mailing confirmation packets, and processing reservation forms.
Student Advisor – The Student Advisor (SA) works closely with the incoming students. The main responsibilities of the SA include facilitating group meetings and discussions, attending scheduled events with your group for your respective School/College, aiding in the registration process for all incoming students in your School/College including explaining academic policies and requirements, and fostering a community environment to help acclimate students to Boston University.
