Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration featuring Poet Laureate Juan Felipe Herrera
Monday 1/18, 2pm, GSU Metcalf
Boston University invites you to an annual celebration honoring our esteemed alumnus, the late Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Joining us for a keynote address will be the Poet Laureate of the United States – Juan Felipe Herrera – who will talk about the universality of King’s message. BU’s Inner Strength Gospel Choir will also perform some musical selections in tribute to Dr. King.

LOL BU featuring Upright Citizens Brigade
Friday 1/22, Doors open at 8:30pm, show starts at 9pm, GSU Metcalf
Opening Act: Andrew Giustino, winner of BU’s Funniest.
Founded by Amy Poehler (SNL, Parks and Recreation)Upright Citizens Brigade Touring Company performs a night of provocative sketch comedy and absurd improv. A veritable incubation lab for comedy talent, the Upright Citizens Brigade Touring Company cast is hand-picked from the best improv comedians in the country and has previously featured such luminaries as Jack McBrayer (30 Rock), Horatio Sanz (SNL), Ed Helms (The Hangover, Cedar Rapids), Ellie Kemper (The Office, Bridesmaids), Rob Corddry (The Daily Show), Rob Riggle (SNL, The Daily Show), and Adam McKay (Anchorman, Funny or Die), among many others. Back Bay Ball
Saturday 1/23, 8pm-12am, 808 Showroom
Come out for the swankiest night on Comm Ave: Back Bay Ball! Put on your dancing shoes and get ready to Whip and Nae Nae the night away. Cheers to a night of free food, a live cover band, and photo booths. A cash bar will be available for those 21+. FREE tickets available here.

Break the Ice: A Winter Activities Fair

Are you interested in joining one of BU’s many student groups? Or maybe you’d just like to see all that’s out there. Whether you’re a new, transfer, or current BU student, you’ll find everything you’re looking for at Break the Ice. This winter activities fair will be an opportunity for all students to get involved. All categories of student groups will be represented. Join us and maybe you’ll find your home away from home.
