You can find all of the great Weeks of Welcome events on our calendar, but here are some you definitely won’t want to miss. All events are free and open to BU students with RSVP, unless otherwise noted.
Ice Cream Social
Friday 8/28, 9pm, BU Central

Saturday 8/29, 10pm, GSU Ballroom
Ready to win some great Boston experiences, event tickets or BU gear? Compete with your fellow terriers for grand prizes of every shape and size in this larger than life, high-stakes game of bingo. Sunday 8/30, 3pm, Nickerson Field
After you’ve officially begun your BU career at matriculation, go crazy at our carnival kickoff for new and returning Terriers! Plenty of exciting games, prizes, food and more will on the Cummington Mall, located behind Warren Towers. The festival will kickoff at 3:00 PM, so be sure to head over when matriculation concludes so you don’t miss out on any of the fun! *No tickets necessary for this event – just show up with your BUID*
Monday 8/31, 6pm doors, 7pm game, Nickerson Field
Free food, games and prizes, and the best college rivalry in the northeast take center stage at the 9th annual Terrier Tailgate. Come cheer on your men’s soccer team as they defend home turf against archrival Boston College. Festivities in the Nickerson Plaza begin at 6 PM and include free Raising Canes, carnival games and prizes, and music. Kickoff is set for 7pm where students can enter to win great prizes like Ipads, Beets speakers, and much more by downloading the ‘Terrier Fanzone’ app and checking in to the game! Go BU!
Dance at BU Info Table

Meet faculty, chat with students and get inspired to express yourself through Dance at BU. From ballet to tap, barre to aerial, ballroom to hip hop, BU Dance is here to help you practice your art and/or learn something new.
Friday 9/4, 9:30pm, GSU Ballroom
Settle in for an all-star comedy night at the Metcalf Ballroom with some of the biggest names in show business. This year’s comedians are TBD, but past stars have included Jessica Williams, Aidy Bryant, John Hodgman and more – so trust us, it’ll be BIG! Doors open at 9:30 PM, with the show beginning at 10 PM. Saturday 9/5, 12pm, Nickerson Field
BU’s legendary student activities spectacular returns to Nickerson Field. From cultural clubs to theater groups, from academic associations to religious life, SPLASH! hosts representatives from every group you can think of. FitRec Open House

Stay fit and well this year, learn a new skill and meet some new friends! Come check out the awesome classes you’ve heard about at the FitRec Fall Open House. Meet instructors, try classes for free and participate in mini-clinics. Drive In Movie

Join the University community to kick off the school year at the annual Sustainability Festival. Open to all, the Festival is an opportunity to get involved with the Environmental Leadership Network, exchange a light bulb for an energy-efficient LED, register your bike and learn about bike safety in the city, enjoy seasonal produce from the BU Farmer’s Market and more. BU Fall Arts Fair

Shakespeare On the Beach
