Marc Salerno (CAS ’15)
Taking the leap from thought to action: Building the infrastructure to foster innovation through collaboration
Marc’s talk will focus on developing the necessary mindset for innovation, as well as understanding the importance of personal innovations. He will also examine the ability for an innovative outlook to turn apathy into action, and how innovative thinking fostered through collaboration can help us achieve our goals.
Marc is a Junior in the College of Arts and Sciences, studying Economics and International Relations. He grew up in New Jersey, graduating from Howell High School before attending BU. During his time at BU, Marc has been an active participant on campus in BU’s Residence Hall Association where he served as President of the Brownstone residences his sophomore year. Marc is currently serving as the acting Speaker of the Boston University Student House, an organization within Student Government, which will begin officially operating this coming spring. Marc’s goal is to help build the Student House into a successful place for student organizations to collaborate towards achieving common goals. When he is not studying for class or working, Marc is usually found sleeping or eating his roommate’s food.
