Activities consultants (ACs) are some of the first faces you’ll see when you visit us at Student Activities. They’re student leaders, supported by our team of pros, who guide other students through the process of planning engaging events. You can sit down with them for a one-on-one—no appointment necessary—to get planning support for your organization’s event. Just drop by our office at 1 University Road or call 617-353-3635.
Campus Activities Board
The Campus Activities Board (CAB) is the programming and marketing arm of the Student Activities Office. Staff in CAB are student employees of the Student Activities Office, and are responsible for creating and implementing small and large scale programming, such as BU’s Funniest and Back Bay Ball, writing and editing content for the Student Activities social media outlets, and all marketing campaigns for our office. The team provides promotional support to student organizations through social media, and web promotions, while also providing students with the opportunity to attend open-mic nights, movie screenings, celebrity meet and greets, and more. They seek to not only provide quality entertainment to the students of Boston University, but also to create a sense of community among our large and diverse student body. New faces and fresh ideas are always welcome. Get in touch with them.

Made up entirely of undergrads, the Allocations Board (AB) is an organization tasked with distributing a portion of the Undergraduate Student Fee to on- and off-campus events hosted by undergraduate student organizations. Members attend meetings every Monday night and staff the office, volunteering their time to subsidize and encourage great events. Visit the AB site or drop them a line.
The University’s Scarlet Safewalk (formerly called Escort Security Service) connects BU students looking for a late-night walk home with Scarlet Safewalk student ambassadors. Between the hours of 10 p.m and 2 a.m. each night during the Academic Year, students can request a walk from an ambassador by calling or visiting one of our three stations on campus. Three stations on campus are: Claflin Hall at 273 Babcock Street, entrance of Mugar library at the GSU, and Kilachand Hall at 91 Bay State Road. From Sunday to Thursday all three stations are open, on the weekends there will be two stations open on a rotating basis. To request a walk, students should call (617) 353-4877. This number can also be found on back of your Terrier card under Escort Security Service.
