Come visit the library’s instruction room (room 209) at 1:00pm on Tuesday, January 14, for a brief orientation to find out how the library can help you as a Teaching Assistant or Research Assistant this semester. We’ll cover borrowing privileges, proxy accounts to borrow materials for your professors, setting up course reserves, and how to use the faculty copycard. This orientation is hosted by Stacey Battles de Ramos, our Access Services Librarian, and should take approximately 20 minutes, with a quick question and answer session at the end. BibleWorks has been added to 4 computers in the second row of the electronic classroom (Room 209) and to the instructor’s computer in the first row. Come in and make use of this valuable resources for Biblical study.
BibleWorks 9 is the premier original languages Bible software program for Biblical exegesis and research. It comes with Greek, Hebrew, and Septuagint Bibles for your computer, as well as translations in English, German, Spanish, Chinese, Korean, and more!
The new scanner is now available across from the old one in the Microfilm viewing area, near the Oversized stacks. Please stop by and make use of this wonderful new resource. Scanning will be limited to 100 pages. Please limit your time to 30 minutes so other patrons can make use of these scanners.
The BU Libraries are pleased to announce that BU alumni now have increased access to many electronic resources including ebooks and full text journal articles. To access these resources, alumni should visit the Alumni Services webpage on the Library’s website. Databases now available to BU alumni include JSTOR, Project Muse, and EBSCO’s Business Source, among others. This expanded service was made possible by a collaboration among the Provost’s Office, IS&T, and the Libraries.

The advantages are many: request from within WorldCat, receive books quickly (usually 1-2 days), check out/in on your regular library account, and many more.
