Research with BU Databases

Jim Skypeck will be conducting two workshops on using the BU databases to assist researchers with finding journal articles as well as other relevant data.  The sessions should run 30 minutes with time for questions as needed.

The sessions will be held in the library’s computer lab (Room 209) off the Reading Room at the following dates and times:

The “Official” TA’s Orientation to the Theology Library; 1/14 at 1pm

Come visit the library’s instruction room (room 209) at 1:00pm on Tuesday, January 14, for a brief orientation to find out how the library can help you as a Teaching Assistant or Research Assistant this semester. We’ll cover borrowing privileges, proxy accounts to borrow materials for your professors, setting up course reserves, and how to use the faculty copycard. This orientation is hosted by Stacey Battles de Ramos, our Access Services Librarian, and should take approximately 20 minutes, with a quick question and answer session at the end. On October 4th, Jim Skypeck will be conducting 2 workshops, one at 9:00am and one at 1:00pm, on databases outside the field of theology. If you are working on papers for classes that have an interdisciplinary focus, please stop by and learn how to use some of the databases in psychology, sociology, and health.  The workshops will be held in Room 209, the library’s electronic classroom.
