ATLA App Workshop – 11/12 at 1 pm

This short workshop teaches you how to download, authenticate, and use the EBSCO Database APP to search the ATLA database and other religion databases offered by EBSCO (ATLA Religion Index with Serials, ATLA Catholic Periodical Index with Serials, New Testament Abstracts, Old Testament Abstracts, PsycINFO, Religion and Philosophy Index). Full-text articles can be saved to your device and read within
the app.

Join us on Wednesday, November 12 at 1 pm in Room 209 (Library Instruction Room). This session will be taught by Stacey Battles de Ramos, our Access Services Librarian, and all questions can be directed to sbattles@bu.edu.

BU WorldCat Local Workshop; 9/17 at 1 pm

Come find out how to use BU WorldCat Local for faster interlibrary borrowing from other Boston Library Consortium libraries!

The advantages are many: request from within WorldCat, receive books quickly (usually 1-2 days), check out/in on your regular library account, and many more.

Join our Access Services Librarian, Stacey Battles de Ramos, in the library’s electronic classroom (Rm. 209) at 1 pm on Wednesday, September 17 to learn more about how to use this easy, personalized version of WorldCat. This workshop will last approximately 30 minutes, including a question and answer session at the end.

The “Official” TA’s Orientation to the Theology Library; 9/9 at 1 pm

Come visit the library’s instruction room (room 209) at 1:00pm on Tuesday, September 9, for a brief orientation to find out how the library can help you as a Teaching Assistant or Research Assistant this semester. We’ll cover borrowing privileges, proxy accounts to borrow materials for your professors, setting up course reserves, and how to use the faculty copycard. This orientation is hosted by Stacey Battles de Ramos, our Access Services Librarian, and should take approximately 20 minutes, with a quick question and answer session at the end.
