Personal Librarian Program
The Personal Librarian (PL) Program is designed to introduce students entering Boston University School of Theology to the collections and services of the Boston University School of Theology Library.
As a new student at the School of Theology, you will be matched with your own Personal Librarian (PL). Your PL serves as a single point of contact for the Library — a resource person for all of your research needs. He or she may contact you occasionally throughout the year to let you know about new databases and tools, upcoming tours of collections, or research strategies. You are also encouraged to contact your PL with any questions you have about your research or the Library (of course, please feel free to contact any library staff member — you are not limited to consulting with just your PL!) How often you choose to avail yourself of your PL is entirely up to you. We will remain your PL throughout your time at STH so take the time to get to know us.
As the School of Theology Library is one of many on campus and at Boston University, you may have occasion to use the resources of another library for your research. If you are uncertain about where to locate a resource, feel free to check in with your Personal Librarian or another School of Theology Library staff member. The staff at other Boston University libraries are also available to provide help.
Your Personal Librarian will contact you to introduce him or herself. The library staff serving as Personal Librarians are:
