Scanning and Photocopy
The library has two easy-to-use touch-screen flatbed scanners located by our microfilm readers. At the scanner facing west (away from Circulation), materials can be scanned into 5MB PDF, text-searchable PDF, JPEG, and Word file formats. These files can be emailed or uploaded to a USB drive directly. At the scanner facing east (toward Circulation), files can be uploaded to Google drive, ipads (with a free app), and iphones (with a free app) in addition to USB drives or email. There is no cost to use the scanners.
The library currently has two copiers to allow you to make photocopies of materials you need for your research. The Theology Library uses a copy card system rather than coin-operated machines. The photocopiers may be phased out over the course of the 2013-2014 academic year so please limit the amount of money you add to your copy card to avoid losing money if the copiers break and are removed.
How can I obtain a copy card for the copier?
A card dispenser is available outside the alcove in which the copiers are located. The machine takes bills only. To purchase a card, you must begin with a single dollar. The machine will dispense a card with 20 cents worth of copies. Once you have a card, you can add money to it at any time. Please sign your card so we can return it to you if it is found by our staff.
Notice: The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material.
