All students are invited to use the services of the Community Life Office.  Regular office hours are posted at the beginning of each semester.  Your questions or concerns are always welcome.

The mission of of the Office of Community Life is threefold:

  1. Serving Community LunchTo promote a community for persons engaged in ministry.  Ministry is broadly defined as serious engagement of theological research for the purpose of promoting knowledge about Christianity in the global village.  Ministry therefore is carried out in the church, the academy and the communities that extend beyond both settings.

    • Class convocations
    • Student consultations with the administrative leadership of the schools
    • Community conversations

  2. To promote the growth of individuals and groups in order to strengthen the understanding that service to God requires stewardship and care for one another in a variety of ways.

    This growth is promoted through:
    • Renewal: spiritual and vocational growth
    • Intermezzo: multi-ethnic newsletter
    • The prayer calendar for Global missions
    • Guest speakers
    • Cooperate with student groups in the School of Theology to promote events

  3. The distribution of resource material and information that encourages students to reach beyond the seminary for enrichment and opportunities.
    • Resources: information from the BTI schools
    • Information: bulletin boards on the lower level
    • Information on twelve step groups
