Worship and Spiritual Formation
Worship
The School of Theology cultivates a rich worship life that brings together students, faculty, staff and administrators for a community encounter with the Holy. Weekly members of the School of Theology community gather to celebrate the traditions, practices and symbols that evolve from persons who come together in a United Methodist university related seminary, such as Boston University School of Theology. These encounters strengthen our commitment to intellectual and spiritual formation.
Members of community are encouraged to find places for worship and and fellowship beyond the School of Theology with the many faith communities that meet throughout the New England region. A partial listing follows:

Spiritual Formation
Spiritual Formation or the cultivation of practices that enhance the human relationship to the holy in order to enhance life is a major part of the seminary experience. The cultivation of these practices is encouraged by the Community Life Office and the Office of Student Affairs. The Dean of Students is available to meet with any student of the School of Theology who is seeking spiritual direction.
The Office of Student Affairs of the School of Theology also offers these links to help members of the community explore spiritual paths.
