Collections
The Library of the School of Theology is an independent unit
serving as a cooperating part of the Boston University library
system. Collections support the curriculum and related interests
of the School of Theology: all aspects of Christianity and
historic Judaism, with special emphasis on the Methodist heritage
of the School. These are complemented by collections in comparative
religion, non-Christian religions, and the other academic
disciplines located in the University library. The Library
houses Research Collections
in areas of primary interest.

University students for four months by STH faculty, staff,
and students; undergraduates may borrow materials for 28 days.
Books may be renewed twice before they must be returned. Books
may be recalled if needed by another patron. When you get
a library PIN, you can access your account online to check
due dates or renew books.
Reserve items have limited circulation periods and may not
be renewed. Reference, serials and Research Collection items
do not circulate.
More detailed information.
Interlibrary
Loan
Faculty, staff, and currently registered students of
the School of Theology are eligible to request books, journal
articles, and other items not held at Boston University Libraries.
Before submitting a request, please check local holdings
at other Boston Theological Institute libraries as we prefer
not to borrow from them whenever possible. The lending library
will determine the loan period and the charges, if any. Interlibrary
Loan services are subject to the Copyright laws. Please
check out the Virtual Catalog (http://www.bu.edu/library/vc/)
as well as many items can be requested and sent to Mugar Memorial
Library within a few days.
