Chicago Steppin'!

Dr. Anjulet Tucker, in conjunction with the BU African American Studies Department and the Boston University Association of Black Seminarians, will feature two prominent Chicago Steppers at a lunch and learn event: Sarah Teagle and Drew "The Phenom" Alexander. From 12pm to 1pm, their groups will discuss the history of steppin' as well as perform. Professor Tucker will share some insights from her forthcoming manuscript "Dance, Religion, and Meaning Making", which explores the role of religion in the Chicago Steppin' subculture.
