| The Massachusetts Bible Society Collection contains
over 4,000 items, which include: Bibles, parts of Bibles,
or tracts. Many of the Bibles in the collection are being
documented for the first time in the ongoing cataloging
project. This collection, rich in rare items and providing
historical records of missionary activity in every part
of the world represents over 2,000 language groups. |

Consuming Books: Agents of Deterioration
in Library Collections
The exhibition explored the many factors that contribute
to the deterioration of books, including mishandling by people
and damage
inflicted by insects, rodents and pets.
