Church and Theology in the Contemporary World Project

Religious leaders need to know both how to think theologically about public issues, and how to relate these public issues to the deepest convictions and practices of faith.  Church and Theology in the Contemporary World Project addresses this need.  The project integrates practical theological research with creative approaches to theological education.  We focus particularly on questions related to Christian spirituality, ministry, and public life.  The project seeks to produce high-level scholarship that can inform the practices of faith communities.  In our research and teaching the project bridges church and academy.  We aim to strengthen the formation of public religious leaders.
