Rev. Dr. Jung Sun Oh (STH ’01)

Reverend Dr. Jung Sun Oh, pastor of the Bethany First UMC Church and BU alumnus, recently published an article, “Debating is Over: Time to Act Boldly.”  It has been posted in his conference website and websites of National MFSA (Methodist Federation of Social Action) and New England Chapter MFSA.  It is also available here: Debate is Over.

In other news, Rev. Dr. Jung Sun Oh has started a website in honor of his wife and children: http://koreanonearth.com/

He is celebrating 28 years of marriage, 23 years of ministry in the US and
16 years of  theological education (MTS in Seoul Korea and Emory and Boston University)
and 26 years of my theological works.  He thanks God for his family and God’s grace.

Dr. Donald Messer (STH ’66)

Recently Donald Messer visited the Philippines and conducted several workshops on HIV and AIDS.  It is one of only seven countries identified by UNAIDS where HIV is increasing rapidly.  Read the story he wrote based on his experiences there, here.

Rev. Kate Wilkinson (STH ’08)

Rev. Kate Wilkinson is settling in as the new minister at the Unitarian Universalist Meeting House of Provincetown, MA.  She comes to Provincetown after serving as a community minister at the Unitarian Universalist Urban Ministry in Roxbury. Prior to that, she was a ministerial intern at the Unitarian Universalist Society of Wellesley Hills, a hospital chaplain, and a social action coordinator for the Mass Bay District UU Churches.

In June 2012, Julie Todd graduated from the University of Denver and Iliff School of Theology with a PhD in Religious and Theological Studies.  This fall she will begin teaching at Iliff as Affiliate Faculty for Justice and Peace Studies.
