Preston being creative and working hard

Preston Price at a 2011 Alumni Weekend Event

The School of Theology is always looking for volunteers who support us in our mission:  ”The purpose of the Boston University School of Theology is to pursue knowledge of God, to cultivate leaders for communities of faith, to enrich the academy, and to seek peace with justice in a diverse and interconnected world.”

If you are interested in theological education and want to help us advance our mission, there are volunteer opportunities available:

  • Host a regional event: Connect with other alumni and faciliate connections by hosting the dean, administrator or faculty member at your home or church
  • We are always looking for Distinguished Alumni Nominations. Nominate someone today!
  • Our Dean’s Advisory Board members are some of our greatest advisors and friends, and we thank them for their ongoing support of the School of Theology
  • Cloud of Witnesses: support graduating and incoming students with a personal letter of encouragement
  • Tell Us Your Story: The STH People’s History Project is an ambitious endeavor to record oral histories of alumni from all eras, particularly the 1950s and 1960s. Contact the Alumni/ae Office if you are interested in sharing your story with us: (617) 353-2349. You can see a recent oral history interview with Reverend James Lawson when he was in Boston to give the 2011 Lowell Lecture.

If there is another way you’d like to volunteer, contact Jaclyn Jones, Alumni Relations Officer at jkjones@bu.edu.
