The Reverend Canon Ted Karpf, Director of Development

The Reverend Canon Ted Karpf, ThM (BUST’74) was Partnerships Officer at the World Health Organization in Geneva from 2004-2010. From 2001-2004 he was Provincial Canon Missioner for HIV/AIDS and Deputy to the Archbishop of Cape Town, The Most Reverend Njongonkulu Ndungane, in the Anglican Church of Southern Africa. He is an Episcopal priest in the Diocese of Washington, where he was also Canon to the Ordinary for Clergy Deployment and Congregational Development and also a canon of Washington National Cathedral. From 1993-1997, he was Executive Director of the National Episcopal AIDS Coalition and a consultant to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Institutes of Health and the Health Resources and Services Administration on HIV/AIDS issues and the role of faith communities. He has also been a campus minister and teacher of religion and chair of the philosophy and religion department at the University of North Texas, and served for some years as a parish priest and rector.

Jaclyn Jones has worked in the School of Theology Office of Development and Alumni Relations since 2008 and graduated from the school with a Master of Theological Studies degree in 2006. Prior to joining the STH team, Jaclyn worked in college admissions for several years. She has also taught writing to middle school students, served as an AmeriCorps*VISTA, and administered a speakers bureau. She is a native of West Virginia and holds a B.A. from Queens University in Charlotte, NC.

Katie Cole is the office assistant for the Alumni/ae and Development Office. She is a current dual degree student at the School of Theology (M.Div.) and the School of Social Work (M.S.W). While active in the life of the School of Theology, Katie also serves as the accompanist for the Seminary Singers. A native of North Carolina, Katie holds a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Jonathan Morgan, Staff Assistant

Jonathan Morgan is a current MTS student studying Theology and Psychology. Prior to joining the School of Theology, he worked for a variety of non-profits including: Habitat for Humanity and the Montana Conservation Corps. Also a native of North Carolina, Jonathan holds a BA from NC State University.
