Methodist Studies

At Boston University School of Theology, Methodist Studies is focused upon five core areas:

  1. study of Wesleyan Methodist and related traditions around the world;
  2. spirituality in the Methodist traditions;
  3. United Methodist History, Doctrine, and Polity;
  4. formation and nurture of United Methodist identy; and
  5. vocational discernment and ordination candidacy preparation.

A wide variety of students from diverse backgrounds and with vocational interests participate in one or more of the focus areas through courses, Wesleyan bands, and the Wesleyan Society at Boston University, and other activities.
