Anjulet joined the faculty of BUSTH in fall 2009 as an Assistant Professor of Sociology of Religion. In her dissertation, “Get the Learnin’ but don’t lose the Burnin’: The Socio-Cultural and Religious Politics of Education in a Black Pentecostal College,” Anjulet explores factors that contributed to the rise and demise of Saints Junior College and Academy, an educational initiative of the Church of God in Christ. Her interests include religion and social change, gender relations in religious organizations and the evolving role of education in Pentecostal communities. She is a former Fund for Theological Education North American Doctoral Fellow. Currently she serves as the Vice Chair of the Diversity Committee for the Society for Pentecostal Studies. Anjulet earned degrees from Emory University (B.A., ‘00, Ph.D. ‘09) and Harvard Divinity School (M.T.S, ‘02).
