Sam Needham copyThe National Association of Schools and Colleges of the UMC (“NASCUMC”) asked students currently enrolled in a UMC-related high school, college or university to tell them, in a video 3 minutes or less, why their school’s connection to The United Methodist Church mattered. One student from STH created a video for the contest. Samuel Needham (pictured with Katherine Rogers at Orientation 2012), is a first year MDiv student from Indiana. Sam told our UMC story best in this wonderful video, and will be recognized for his effort at the next Community Lunch.

NASCUMC received 34 outstanding entries from students at 25 schools, and chose 7 finalists. Voting continues through 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, November 1.

The winning video will receive a GoPro HDHero2 camera, Final Cut ProX editing software, and 3 one-hour instruction sessions with award-winning film professionals plus whatever prize package your campus is offering.
