CERtificate in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) Interventions
This introductory level course acquaints participants with the theoretical frameworks of the evidence-based method Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). This certificate program covers CBT based assessment, treatment strategies and skill application for the treatment of clinical disorders such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, substance abuse and personality disorders. Application of CBT methods with adults, children, adolescents and older adults within domains such as outpatient settings, community mental health centers and schools are discussed. Case examples are provided and participants are invited to present their cases for consultation.

Format:
Classes meet on Thursdays, 6:00-8:30 p.m. for a total of 30 in-class hours, September-December.
Tuition: $850, 30 CECs
