BU School of Social Work professors Luz López and Hyeouk “Chris” Hahm share their expertise at the Boston University Research on Tap event, “Migration: How Movement in the World Shapes Populations and Population Health,” hosted by BU School of Public Health dean Sandro Galea.

Population migration is among the central catalysts shaping the demography of the world around us, a trend likely to accelerate in the coming years. Together with population aging and urbanization, the movement of people within countries and across international borders is rapidly coming to define the early- to mid-21st century. At this Research on Tap, BU faculty across diverse fields, including literature, medicine, and engineering, will discuss how migration shapes population demographics, innovation, and population health.
