Ken Schulman joined the School in 1979 as an adjunct faculty member. Since receiving his MSW from Boston College in 1977, Schulman has been involved in clinical social work, community organization, administration, planning, research, and teaching. As an adjunct associate professor he has taught courses in the School on oppression and racism, social work practice, social services in Cuba, and progressive social work practice. In 1986, Schulman assumed the position of director of Admissions & Financial Aid. He was promoted to assistant dean for Enrollment Services & Alumni Relations in 1989 and to associate dean for Enrollment Services & External Relations in 1992. Schulman retired from his role as associate dean on June 30, 2020, and continued to work at BUSSW part-time through December 2020.
