- Starts: 9:00 am on Friday, February 24, 2017
- Ends: 4:00 pm on Friday, February 24, 2017
"Black Lives Matter" has become a rallying cry for people around the world. Central questions of this workshop include:
What is the origin of the Movement that bears its name?
What are the primary aims and methods of that Movement?
What are the opportunities it represents, the challenges it must overcome, and the obligations it imposes, particularly on those of us in the human services?
This course will explore these questions through the examination of primary sources, documentary evidence, interactive lecture and critical conversations.
