*Part-Time Plans following completion of Foundation.
The SSW Foundation (first two semesters) is usually taken full time and must be completed in sequence. Most students complete this foundation year after they have completed one year of study at the School of Theology. Several Foundation courses are only offered in the fall, and in the spring students remain in their same class sections for Part 2 of those courses. During the advanced year, approved inter-School elective course substitutions are possible, and count for credit in both the SSW and STH curriculum.
SSW requirements for the MSW degree reflect national accrediting standards and state laws and clinical licensing requirements. Therefore, the SSW Plan of Study remains the same when combined with any of the three STH degrees in this Dual Degree Program. However, the STH Plan of Study for each of the degrees in this Program will vary, depending on the STH degree undertaken (see STH catalog for requirements of the MTS, MDiv, and DMin degrees). Dual degree candidates' course plans will often vary due to personal interests as well as to their unique program requirements.
