FAMILY THERAPY CERTIFICATE PROGRAM INFORMATION MEETING

EVERYTHING YOU ALWAYS WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT THE FAMILY THERAPY CERTIFICATE PROGRAM!!!
The Family Therapy Certificate Program (FTCP) offers 2nd year and continuing part-time students specialized courses, colloquia, and a field placement geared toward understanding and working with families, couples, and individuals in a systemic context.
Students who complete the Program are awarded a certificate.
Information packets and applications for the Family Therapy Certificate Program will be available at the meeting. If you are interested but unable to attend, please pick up an information packet from Doris McFarlin, Room 209, 264 Bay State Road, or call her at (617) 353-3752.

works with refugees and asylum seekers,
most of whom are survivors of torture, requests donations of
winter coats in very good condition & new shoes, hats, gloves, or scarves
(especially needed are larger sizes for both men and women).

This 5 hour a week position will involve data entry and other administrative support for ongoing and forthcoming studies. Interviewers Wanted
Interviewers needed on an exciting longitudinal study of mentoring relationships between youth and adults. Interviewers will conduct face-to-face surveys and in-depth interviews with youth (11-16 years of age), parents/guardians and mentors participating in mentoring programs. Initial interviews with mentors will be conducted via the phone. Interviewers will receive $24 to $36 for each completed survey/interview session (depending on the length of the interview). Travel to participants’ homes and evening and weekend hours needed to complete the surveys/ interviews, as these times are the most convenient for some of the study participants. Post MSW Internship in Clinical Social Work
Counseling and Psychological Services (CPS) and Social Services (SOS)located on the UC Berkeley campus, California. The Tank Health Center serves a diverse, urban campus of more than 31,000 undergraduates and graduate students
The Post-MSW Internship Program, which is in its fifth year, is committed to providing a comprehensive training experience to support and facilitate the interns growth and development as a professional Social Worker. Our program includes intensive supervision, didactic training seminars, mentorship, and a broad range of clinical, consultation, and outreach experience.
Applicant must have completed a Masters degree in Social Work prior to July 31, 2008. The internship is full time for twelve months beginning July 31, 2008. The stipend for the internship is $24,884. Medical insurance, vacation, sick leave, and professional development times are provided. Applications are due by March 3, 2008.

Gonzalo explores experiences of inter-cultural encounters in the context of immigration, tourism, relationships and identities. He is interested in finding ways to move beyond the concepts of acculturation and adaptation while focusing on health access and quality for immigrants. Therapeutic Writing Core Program with Claire Willis begins next week.
In Therapeutic Writing you will explore highly-structured and open ended writing exercises; the uses of writing in individual, group and couples therapy; the role of poetry in psychotherapy; and the cultivation of the unencumbered voice through writing. You will come away with a strong understanding of how to integrate therapeutic writing into your own clinical practice. Course details are as follows:
