HEAD OF THE CHARLES WEEKEND!!! Sat and Sun. The world's largest two-day rowing event, was first held on October 16, 1965. The race committee proposed that a "head of the river" race similar in tradition to races held in England, be held on the Charles River. "Head" races, a class of regattas, are generally three miles long, boats race against each other and the clock, starting sequentially approximately fifteen seconds apart. Winners of each race receive the honorary title of "Head of the River" or, in this case, "Head Of The Charles." Can be seen from the Charles River along both banks behind SSW and further west. No Charge! http://www.hocr.org/competitors/ScheduleDraw07.asp

Q & A of the WEEK
Q: Will there be a World’s Series in Boston next week?
A: Tune in on Saturday October 20, 8 pm on Fox TV (unless you’re lucky enough to have tickets to the game!) and if the Red Sox win then and one more game (Sunday at 8 pm) there will be a World Series Game 1 right down the street on Wednesday!!
Then the next question is can you fit in any more TV watching along with mid-term assignments?
