PhD Admissions
The Interdisciplinary PhD Program is a program of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences (GRS). Thus, application is through the Graduate School, not the School of Social Work. Admission is open to those who hold a Master of Social Work degree or who hold a master's degree from an allied discipline or profession and who have professional experience related to the objectives of social work. In addition to the application, applicants must submit: transcripts, results of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or the Miller Analogies Test (MAT), three letters of recommendation, a statement of purpose, and a writing sample.
