Prospective Students
The Boston University School of Social Work Off-Campus Program is designed for individuals with work and family responsibilities. This part-time MSW program offers classes on weekends and field internships during the week in the student’s own community. The program is 65 credits and spans eight semesters including two summer sessions. Courses are taken sequentially, one at a time. Classes are completed in four weeks and are held on Friday nights (6:00-9:00 PM) and Saturday mornings (9:00 AM – 1:00 PM). Students take all classes as a cohort throughout their time in the program and complete the entire program at the Off-Campus sites.

- Students major in Clinical Social Work Practice and develop the skills and competencies needed to advance professionally.
- Curriculum identical to the BUSSW on campus program.
- A rich network of field placement sites, giving students practical experience in locations close to home where they acquire the hands-on training to succeed in the marketplace.
- A weekend schedule, classes are held on Friday nights and Saturday mornings
- Courses are completed in four weekends.
- Campus locations in Chelmsford, Fall River and Cape Cod
- Availability of a part-time, advanced standing program for qualified graduates of an undergraduate program in social work.
- Program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education
