Social Welfare Policy

WP 700

The WP 700 waiver exam is an in-class, 2-hour, closed-book examination addressing material covered in the course, including the history of social welfare policy, assessments of why American social policy includes and excludes different problems and populations, and knowledge of current social welfare programs and provisions.

Contact Professor Robert Hudson to obtain a WP 700 course syllabus and to apply for the waiver exam (no later than July 15).

If you waive out of WP 700, you must take an advanced policy elective in its place.
