Advising and Field Education
Process
- Field placement assignments are made by the OCP administration in consultation with the OCP faculty advisors.
- Assignments are based on an educational assessment of the student's learning goals and needs, work and volunteer experience, educational background, and career aspirations.
- Students are oriented to the field placement process through the Integrative Seminars.
- All students have the opportunity to interview at the agency before the field placement is finalized.
- Students entering the advanced year in the field take a more active role in selecting the type of setting for their advanced placements.
