
MSW Program
Curriculum Overview
The Boston University School of Social Work offers full- and part-time programs leading to the Master of Social Work degree (MSW), with concentrations in Clinical Social Work Practice and Macro Social Work Practice (minimum of 65 credit hours required). Advanced standing programs are also available.
Program options include:
- A full-time, two-year program on the Charles River Campus in Boston
- A part-time, three- or four-year program on the Charles River Campus in Boston;
- Part-time, weekend, three-year programs, with a concentration in Clinical Social Work Practice only, in Chelmsford Massachusetts, in Fall River Massachusetts, and in Cape Cod (Southeastern Massachusetts).
- A full- and part-time advanced standing program for qualified graduates of an undergraduate program in social work that is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
