2011 Early Identification of Substance Use and Psychological Problems in Women Veterans
National Institute on Drug Abuse Diversity Supplement (PA-08-190) to First Longitudinal Study of Missed Treatment Opportunities Using DoD and VA Data (NIDA R01DA030150). PI: Mary Jo Larson, PhD, Brandeis University.

This study examines substance use, poly-substance use, psychological (i.e., posttraumatic stress disorder, depression) and behavioral problems (i.e., suicidality, attrition), and substance use/psychological comorbidities in Army active duty, National Guard, and Reserve women immediately after military deployment and up to 24 months post-deployment.

2010 Co-Investigator; First Longitudinal Study of Missed Treatment Opportunities Using DOD and VA Data. PI: Mary Jo Larson, Brandeis University.

This study investigates the relationship of early problem identification and linkage to behavioral health care with later development of substance abuse and psychological injury outcomes and attrition from the Army.
