The Art of Clinical Supervision: A Competency Based Model
Supervisors play an important role in the training of new social workers. Often times this role is in addition to many other responsibilities within the agency. This workshop offers an opportunity for supervisors to step outside of their agency responsibilities and reflect on their role as supervisors. Topics for discussion include the use of social work competencies in the field, examining the supervisory role, understanding the influence of culture in the field, and techniques to teach critical thinking and ethical decision-making.
