Mind/Body and Beyond: Integrating Stress Reduction and Management into Social Work Practice
As levels of stress and anxiety rise in the general population, mental health professionals are increasingly called upon to provide stress reduction education and techniques to clients. This daylong workshop provides clinicians with a comprehensive stress reduction treatment model, incorporating more than a dozen treatment modalities. The workshop includes a traditional emphasis on meditation, but expands beyond the meditation-based modalities to incorporate additional mind/body techniques. In addition, this workshop provides clinicians with training in the assessment and evaluation of stress and anxiety. Because mind/body stress reduction modalities will be included, casual dress is encouraged.
