Your Work with Children: How to Succeed with the New Integrated Health Care Model
With the implementation of integrated health care delivery in Massachusetts, behavioral health will undergo a significant reorganization requiring the identification of behavioral health standards of practice and related practice competencies necessary to ensure effective integration of behavioral health care with pediatric primary practice. This seminar is intended to provide behavioral health providers, who work both with privately and publically insured children/families, with skills that will enhance their capacity to practice effectively with pediatric populations in the new integrated health care systems. Presentations, video, behavioral rehearsal, class discussion and case material will be used to facilitate participants' learning experience. Participants will gain essential information about the elements of health care reform that impact integrated behavioral health practice and key values, knowledge, and practice competencies that define effective integrated behavioral health care with families and pediatric practices.
