Employee Assistance Programs: Coordinating Care with a Valuable Resource
Workplace-based employee assistance programs can be a valuable resource in coordinating care with clients since Employee Assistance Program providers are often the first contact employees ever have with a counselor. Participants in this workshop will learn about the current professional employee assistance practice, services, and evidence-based outcomes of the work. This knowledge can inform community based social workers on how and when to refer a client to an EAP as a support to ongoing clinical work. In addition, this workshop can help you decide if EAP work is a professional option for your own career or as a self-care option for your own support.
