Engaging At-Risk Students in Alternative Education Settings: Responsive Mental Health Treatment
Practitioners across behavioral health services are facing the difficulty of promoting youth engagement. This workshop explores the complexity of youth engagement in education in both residential and transitional services. Through youth-centered and systems-centered case studies, workshop participants will identify responsive methods for effective partnering across service components (management, education, clinical) and gain a deeper understanding of Massachusetts' Juvenile Justice continuum of care. Participants will be provided the opportunity to learn about and discuss their role in better promoting youth engagement.
