Journaling: The Art and Science of Self-Expression
All it takes is a pen, a notebook, and a supportive therapeutic environment for clients to learn this age-old technique of self-exploration and expression. Journaling has an important role in many clinical practices, such as stress reduction, narrative approaches, and cognitive-behavioral interventions. This workshop introduces participants to the fundamentals of journaling through short lecture, classroom exercises, and discussion. Particular attention is paid to how to integrating journaling into social work practice.
