A growing body of scientific literature has emerged in the past twenty years supporting the therapeutic role for yoga in helping to heal a number of mind/body conditions. This workshop provides an overview of the clinical uses of therapeutic yoga, as well as an introduction to experiential yoga practice. Participants learn basic techniques for reducing stress, quieting the mind, and gaining a new awareness of the mind/body connection. The workshop addresses yoga's potential as a clinical intervention and its integration into social work settings. Please dress comfortably.
