Speaker: Danielle Martin, Vice President Medical Affairs and Health System Solutions, Women's College Hospital, Toronto. In an era of instability and change in American health care policy, international lessons are of interest to us all. The Canadian health care system is alternately referred to in healthcare debates as either a disastrous socialist experiment or a perfect model of equitable access. It is neither. Danielle Martin, a Canadian health system leader and physician will debunk myths about Canadian healthcare and distill lessons about what works and what doesn’t that can inform the debates underway in the US. #SPHDSS17
