BUMC Provost Research Workshop: BU Researchers Working to Solve Health Problems Around the Globe.

BU faculty, fellows, residents, students, and staff interested in learning more about research being done on the medical campus to address global health issues are invited to this workshop. Research to be discussed includes: Christopher J. Gill, MD, "mHealth as a method of continuing medical education for health workers in Vietnam"; Sydney Rosen, MPA, "Research on the treatment cascade for HIV positive patients in Africa; having the services is not enough"; Jeffrey H. Samet, MD, MPH, "Multi-country (Russia, Uganda, US) research on HIV infection and alcohol use and abuse"; Rhoda Au, PhD, "Confronting the challenge of rapidly aging populations in the US and China"; and Dan Brooks, DSc, "Finding the cause of chronic kidney disease in Central America." Discussion will follow.
